Measure all the way around the fullest part of the chest, passing under the arms and across the shoulder blades.

Make sure the measuring tape is:

• Straight and parallel to the ground
• Not too tight or too loose

For the most comfortable and accurate fit, place two fingers inside the measuring tape while measuring. This ensures the dress will not feel restrictive when worn.

Tip: The child should stand naturally with arms relaxed at the sides during the measurement.

Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (where the dress strap or neckline begins) straight down to the desired length of the dress.

Make sure to:

• Keep the measuring tape straight and vertical
• Follow the natural fall of the body
• Decide whether you want floor-length or slightly above the ground

Tip: It’s best to take this measurement while the child is standing upright and barefoot for accuracy.
